What are the benefits of cupping?

What are the side effects of cupping?

  • Cupping leaves marks on the skin that can last a few days up to a week. Be mindful of special events such as weddings or beach vacations that you may have coming up.

  • Cupping opens your pores, making you more susceptible to catching a cold. Keep the area covered from extreme temperature changes like hot saunas or air conditioners for 24 hours after your treatment.

Can anyone get cupping done?

Cupping is not for everyone. The following are contraindicated to cupping therapy.

  • Thin or fragile skin

  • Abdominal area or low back if you are pregnant

  • Patients on blood thinners or that have bleeding disorders

  • Open wounds, bone fractures or skin lesions

  • Patients with Cardiac or Renal failure
